(HOW LAZY HAVE WE BECOME?)... FACEBOOK IS ROLLING OUT A GIFT-GIVING FEATURE
Facebook is rolling out a new gift-giving feature. 'Facebook Gifts' will appear on all Facebook Timeline pages.
You'll be able to click on the gift icon and send a wide variety of gifts from coffee, to food, to hooded animal towels for kids to your friends.
The etiquette experts say to choose recipients with care, only send gifts to real friends on their birthdays and other occasions, and keep the gift appropriate to your relationship and the occasion.
Facebook gives the option of posting your gesture to a recipient's Timeline or keeping the transaction private.
When a friend sends a gift through Facebook, the recipient will get a notification asking for a shipping address. She or he can also preview the gift; change the size, color or style; or exchange it for another gift of equal or lesser value.
Facebook members should see the new gift feature within the next few weeks.
