COUNTRY QUICKIES: 10/30/12
~~Taylor Swift will co-host the Grammy nominations television, joining rapper/actor LL Cool J as hosts of the Dec. 5 special, airing live on CBS from Bridgestone Arena in Nashville, Tenn. This is the first year the nominations special has been broadcast from Music City.
Grammy officials also announced Monday that Luke Bryan has been added to the telecast as a performer, joining Maroon 5 as the only acts announced so far. More performers will be revealed at a future date.
The 55th annual Grammy Awards will be held Feb. 10 in Los Angeles.

~~ Jason Aldean raised $509,000 for Susan G. Komen for the Cure with his seventh annual Concert For The Cure at the Gexa Energy Pavilion in Dallas Saturday.
It was the final show on his 2012 concert tour.

Jason Aldean‘s latest release, ‘Night Train, has rolled into the top slot on the ‘Billboard' Top 200 chart, his first debut atop the all genres chart.
Jasons fifth album sold 409,303 copies in its first week, which also makes ‘Night Train' the second-highest debut album of the year in all genres of music. Only Mumford & Sons' ‘Babel' moved a larger number of units in its first week, with 600,000 copies sold.
~~ Lee Brice's "Hard To Love" will top the Billboard Country Song chart when officially released on Thursday.
Brice will assume the top spot from Taylor Swift and "We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together".
This is is Brice's second consecutive chart-topper this year and is approaching platinum status in digital sales.
~~ Kenny Chesney will perform at halftime when the Cowboys host the Redskins on Thanksgiving Day to kick off the Salvation Army's Red Kettle Campaign.
Chesney was on hand Sunday for the announcement at Cowboys Stadium in Arlington, Texas.
The Nov. 22 show will be part of the Salvation Army's 122nd annual holiday giving effort that features red kettles for donations. The Salvation Army last year received nearly $148 million during the period.
~~ The Band Perry debuted their new song, "Better Dig Two", on Rolling Stone.
~~ CMA Awards winners in the Musical Event and Music Video of the Year categories will be announced live from Nashville at the Bridgestone Arena Plaza during Thursday morning's "Good Morning America" on ABC. Reba will also perform on GMA that morning and Brad Paisley will be a guest. He is co-host of The 46th Annual CMA Awards.
Reba, Darius Rucker, Jana Kramer, Jake Owen, "Nashville"'s Connie Britton and Hayden Panettiere, Tim Allen, Lisa Maria Presley and Kimberly Williams-Paisley have been confirmed as presenters.
~~ Carrie Underwood has extended the Blown Away Tour with 40 new dates added for 2013. Hunter Hayes will continue in support.
