COUNTRY QUICKIES: 11/16/12
~~Blake Shelton, Taylor Swift and Carrie Underwood have earned multiple nominations for the 2013 People's Choice Awards.
The nominations in music, film and television categories were revealed on Thursday morning in Los Angeles.
Shelton is up for overall favorite male artist, while Swift and Underwood are nominated for overall favorite female artist. All three performers, along with Jason Aldean and Tim McGraw, are the nominees in the favorite country artist category.
In addition, Swift's "We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together" landed in the all-genre favorite song category, and Underwood's "Blown Away" is nominated for overall favorite album.
The People's Choice Awards will air live from Los Angeles on Jan. 9 on CBS.
~~ Rascal Flatts, Kip Moore and Jake Owen will join previously announced performers Jason Aldean, Lady Antebellum, Dierks Bentley, Luke Bryan and Little Big Town for the American Country Awards. The show will air live Dec. 10 on FOX-TV.
~~Jason Aldean addressed his recent marriage ordeal and talked about his road to stardom on "CBS This Morning".
Jason and his wife, Jessica, opened up about photographs that made the Internet rounds showing Jason hugging another woman at a Los Angeles nightspot. Jason apologized to his fans for the incident, adding that he left the bar alone that night.
When asked how the incident affected his marriage, jason replied: "I mean, I think we're fine, you know?
"I think anytime you go through something like that, it's tough. We've been together a long time, and been through a lot of things together. Those are things that most people get to deal with in private. But we didn't have the luxury of doing that."
