(BAD NEWS)... WE'RE NEVER GETTING OUR HOVERBOARDS
The hoverboard concept-- featured in the 1989 movie "Back to the Future, Part II" -- won't come to life anytime soon.
In the movie Michael J. Fox's Marty McFly hops a Mattel-brand hoverboard that looks like a pink skateboard deck without wheels in 2015.
Several companies and researchers have tried to create the floating board but aren't close yet and there likely won't be one by 2015.
The problem is the board needs to carry a person's weight and has to go somewhere… those two things haven't been combined yet.
