HAVE AN IPHONE? YOU CAN MAKE CALLS THROUGH FACEBOOK, WITHOUT USING YOUR PLAN MINUTES

Facebook quietly rolled out a new feature this week that could change the way you make phone calls from your cell phone.

The social media site added the option to make phone calls through their Facebook messaging app.

This option means that users with iPhones can make phone calls over Wi-Fi instead of using their cellular data plan.

The Wi-Fi phone technology isn't a new phenomenon, apps like Skype and Google already have them - but it is a big step for Facebook.

No word on when the mobile calling feature will be released to Android phones, but it can be expected soon.
