COUNTRY QUICKIES: 2/20/13

~~The Band Perry's "Better Dig Two" tops the Billboard Country Chart for a second consecutive week and also rises to number one on Mediabase.

The song is the fastest-rising single of TBP's career. It has sold more than 1 million copies and also marks the sibling trio's third chart-topper.

The band's disc, "Pioneer," is slated for release April 2.

~~George Jones has invited Dierks Bentley, Montgomery Gentry, Kenny Rogers and Josh Turner to take part in his final Nashville concert at the Bridgestone Arena on Nov. 22. Previously announced guests include Charlie Daniels, Jamey Johnson, Lorrie Morgan, Randy Travis and Gene Watson. Tanya Tucker will open the show. 

George Jones' next tour date is Friday (Feb. 22) in Greenville, Texas.

~~Thomas Rhett has been opening some shows for Dierks Bentley and Miranda Lambert, and he wrote a song for Dierks called "Dierkin' It." Dierks documented the funny song on his latest DBTV episode.

~~ Dwight Yoakam, Mumford & Sons and the Lumineers and are scheduled to perform at the Bonnaroo Music and Arts Festival to be held June 13-16 in Manchester, Tenn.

Paul McCartney, Tom Petty & the Heartbreakers and Wilco will also appear at the festival. Sam Bush and Del McCoury, Jason Isbell & the 400 Unit, John Fullbright, Drew Holcomb & the Neighbors and JD McPherson are confirmed to perform as well. The eclectic festival will take place one weekend after the CMA Music Festival in Nashville. Bonnaroo tickets go on sale Saturday (Feb. 23).

~~Craig Morgan and Sarah Darling will perform following the 14th Annual St. Jude Country Music Marathon & ½ Marathon presented by Nissan. The show happens at Nashville Municipal Auditorium April 27.

~~Lady Antebellum will release a new album titled "Golden" on May 7. The lead single is "Downtown."
