MINDY MCCREADY'S EX CLAIMS SHE WOULD HAVE KILLED THE CHILDREN, TOO
Investigators said that Mindy McCready shot and killed her late boyfriend's dog before she turned the gun on herself at her home in Heber Springs, Arkansas.
And a preliminary autopsy report concluded the cause of McCready's death was suicide.
Her ex, Billy McKnight, is also the father of her oldest son, Zander. He strongly believes that she would have also killed her children if they had been there with her.
He said that Mindy's suicide came as no shock to him and added, "Just look at what she did and how she did it. She killed the dog before she killed herself and I fear she would have taken those kids with her too if they had been there."
He also noted that he was with her when she tried it twice before.
** A private investigator (Danno Hanks) also revealed that Mindy had asked him to work on a suicide awareness video with her, and she sent him a frame for a video with a suicide hotline number the day before her death.
