Taxi cab companies in Vegas are under fire for bilking passengers out of almost $15 million last year.
An audit found that cabbies ripped customers off of $14.8 million last year with a practice known as "long hauling" or as most people call it, "taking the scenic route."
About 22.5% of cab rides to and from the airport were done leisurely.
There are fines for "long hauling," but a new bill would double those penalties.
Cabbie unions say drivers don't want to 'long haul' their passengers but are forced to by their bosses.
